finally, after long long last!  summer IS here.  and van halen's "hot for teacher" is stuck in my head.  for no obvious reason other than david lee roth is one rockin-ass jew. :)  and i can only say that because i used to date one.  but then his mother found out i was a gentile.  oh wow.  i don't want to get into thinking about that today.  of course its also friday and i get to wear jeans to work.  i'm wearing the holy (hole-y) abercrombie ones that i've had since... 11th grade.  mind you that's been a while.  all natural knee rips, and two coming up on my inner thigh.  ...whew that sounded dirty, didn't it?

karen can't understand how i'm able to just be so relaxed about class.  i haven't been to class since sometime last month, i'm doing just enough to get by with grades that will transfer credit to Montreat.  the way i see it, its kind of pointless to bust my ass for 5 months to get big fat A's when all that will count is the C-'s.  my GPA resets itself when i enroll at Montreat in August.  So what's the worry?

i'm going around mooresville monday with nikki to help her find a job.  which should be fun.  i'm homesick for mo-town.  i know how it will go though.  she and i will go to one or two places to turn in a resume' and then we'll get bored and I'll drive us to concord mills and we'll shop and eat and cut-up and come rolling back home around 10 or 11.  it is after all a monday and she has to work on tuesday. 

so, the boys are in darlington this weekend.  mother's day.  feels so awkward.  not necessarily bad feeling, just like a new pair of jeans you haven't broken in yet.  (i'm on a jeans tizz today i guess.)  i miss the old darlington dates.  (here she goes on this rant yet again!) AND!!!!!  HEAR THIS FRANCY-PANTS!!  fuck fontana!  and the west coast!!  i want my rockingham... i want my north wilkesboro!!  the old days are gone... all these "new school" fans really chap my ass.  but just like the old boys from the dirt track days hated us "new school" asphalt assholes, i'm sure i'll learn to adjust.  it'll just take a few years.  hahaha... but at least we still have lonesome pine, hickory, and the sweet nectranous moonshine.  <3 <3

my hair turned out ok.  not that much of a difference, which is strange.  of course i've done so much to my hair over the past year, i'm surprised i have any hair left at all!  nikki and i are hanging out in the arc waiting to go to class.  almost done with this year.  it feels great.

i wish i were still in NC though.  but with nikki moving down there soon and with me moving down there soon, i just gotta sit tight.  my aunt suzi called me yesterday and asked me if i were going to work for her this summer.  and now that i sit here and think about it, i want to do that instead of working at walmart.  it makes sense.  i would make just as much money

dad's going to be so mad at me.  i know it.  yuck.  i like having my weekends to go down to mooresville, or go down to the races... i don't like working all the time like that.

nikki and i are going to the all star jam on may 21st.  i can't wait.  anyhow, only 6 days of classes left.  thats cool too.  i really can't think of anything more to say.  i have too much on my mind.  take care kiddahs!

i wish i would keep up with when i updated and when i didnt.  i think the last one was when i got back from montreat.  oh hell bags.  hang on..... (two minutes later) ...ok.  that's settled.  actually my last update was after nikki and i spent three hours at subway.

BB and I missed out on having our semi-annual sobriety rebellion festivities last december because I was (at the time) a professed college drop out.  so much for that!  i figure, with as little effort as i put forward and STILL end up with a 3.5 GPA, might as well get some fin aid and put it towards a fancy private school BS degree.  by that i mean both bachelor of science AND well.  don't make me fill in all the bubbles for you.

here's the plan for today (which I need to hurry and type b/c Nikki will be out of class any minute.)... after class Nikki and I are gonna grab some lunch, go back to her house, dye my hair (medium iridescent blonde http://www.garnier100color.com) and hang out looking at old booger huntin pictures.

then around 5:30 i gotta boogy butt up to RU and meet Brit-tit so we can make our 7:00 reservations at Kabuki.  yummm.... SHRIMP and Bud Light!  haha, so much for eating healthy.  oh and an aside for ya'll, only eat tuna once every two weeks.  i know its great protein, but the high mercury levels could cause some serious metallurgic poisoning.  mercury makes you sterile boys and girls.  it also will give you demensia.  which explains why the vikings were such crazy bastards.

then a nice dessert of a venti caramel frap (w/ extra caramel) and some B ampersand N cushy couch time.  i love it.  i miss the days when brit and i had the time (and money!) to do this very thing once a week.  WE DID!  $20 at kabuki's a week, plus the $40 a week caramel frap/ chai creme frap addiction.  how did we do it?  very carefully.  also, would like to wish good luck to all my graduates.  be prepared to live off mercury infested tuna and preservative stocked ramen noodles all summer.  all the more reason to not study abroad in prague.  they eat shoelaces over there.  yes, good fiber source... but damn.

afternoon fearless readers!  its about time for another update, and since i've found time where i have nothing with which to fill it... you get the point.

so after school yesterday nikki and i go to the tanning bed and then she went to work.  i went and FINALLY wrote my art history term paper.  after nikkimus gets off from work, she and i have dinner at subway.  and we're sitting in there talking about everything from siblings to weddings to how we think DEI is spying on us.  yeah... weelllll... we're dangerous broads.  you ought'a know!  a little later nikki looks outside and goes "damn!  its dark!"  granted we got to subway at 6:30 and sunset is like 7:15 or something so we weren't too worried.  plus i look at my watch and its only like 8:15 or something.  so we sit there and keep on talking talky talk and eventually go out to our cars to leave.  i cranked my car and looked at the time in there at it was 10:15!!!  i had forgotten to set my watch up, so when i saw that it was 8:15, it was acutally past 9!

just like old times...

nikki and anthony are getting married on july 23rd.  and she's moving to mooresville after classes let out in may.  pooooo!!!  she's gotta take summer classes w/ me in wytheville!!  she's like "oh we're getting an air matress, so you can come stay with me and help me decorate."  you're f-ing right i'm gonna!  mmk... i have no points left to make.  not that i made any before.

mmmk.... baaad bad day for hangermouth.  but wrecked on lap 5 and came back to finish 26th is freaking awesome.  kyle petty finished 8th (yay kyle!)  and happy harvick was back in VL.  <33

i'm not going back to the busch race today... i can't afford the gas and without someone going with its kinda useless... i mean, i've been to that race like what every year for the past 15+ years?  mmmk... i can afford to miss one i think.

next sunday i have to teach sunday school (again) and do nursery since sandy and dennis will be in gburg.  lucky fools.  pffftt!  but its not like i haven't been there 3 times this year already and am going again in about 3 weeks.

need to take a trip somewhere!!  don't know where i'll go... hopefully somewhere i've never been.

two nights ago matt, brian, and i truck out to g-burg to the speedpark for food city race nite.  just as i do every bristol race i was going to work the MBNA booth helping Bobby Labonte sign autographs (looove Booby Labooty...).  it was so much fun, i finally convinced the people at harvick's busch car to let me get in and see if i could reach the pedals.  hehe!

around 5:30 we head back to johnson city for the other race nite festivities (state st. in bristol).  before that we decide to go eat at O'Charley's... we're seated and i glance over matthew's shoulder and there's CARL EDWARDS staring me down.  (granted from living in Mooresville running into drivers all the time is no big deal to me... however, it is to my two dork cousins.)  Carl speaks up, "hey!  don't I know you?"  yeahh.... oh boy.  remember i met him last august at the truck race before he won, telling him his backflips were sexy and he kissed me on the hand and said thanks and i smacked his little tush as he walked to his pit.  (haaahahaah!)  "Yeah!  Now I remember, you slapped my rear end!"  of course he has to be at dinner with matt kenseth, who knows my daddy and kenseths "oooh I'm tellin your dad".  fabulous.  i love bristol.

so every year during bristol race weekend i have my usual run in with Ricky Hendrick (heir to the Hendrick throne, former driver, and former owner)... we always seem to be on the elevator going up to the luxury suites (me) and him to spot.  he asks me how i am, why i haven't been by to see him lately, invites me to come race go karts with him and brian vickers... i get on his headset and radio down to brian (who went to trinity high in thomasville with friends of mine) and tell him good luck.  then we hug and he says his typical hendrick-drawl "byyyyyyye".  but i won't get to this year.  if you don't know, Ricky was in a plane crash Martinsville weekend last fall... I miss you Angel... you were the shining star of carolina boys.

so anyhow... we're off to the races... look for me in the infield (unless the cars are running then i'll be in suite #256)  GO CARL!!!  #99 baby wooooo!!!!

first off, if i am EVER going to graduate before i'm old and haggard, i need to take some summer classes.

secondly, i didn't give this much say so earlier this week, but saturday (mar. 26th) was chase's third birthday.  he's growing up so fast.  as kids tend to do.  but i miss my little baby brubby that i could cradle in the crook of my arm and talk to.  now he's so alive and rambunctious its hard to.  he and i have alot of fun.  and nothing in this world could come close to describing how much i love him and what i would do for him.  he's to the point now where Sissie is his hero and he idealizes me.  so i have to watch myself.  he looks up to me.  when he does things, he wants to make Sissie proud (not Momma or Daddy).  he loves dad and linda but i can tell Sissie is going to be the one he's closest with.  that makes me melt.  i can spend the rest of my life and not find a purer love than what he has found with me ( and i with him ).  and just knowing that this new kind of heartache (a good kind... comparitively) and that because of our relationship being as it is, and that being an example of my abilities...

...maybe it means one day i will be a great momma.  assuming that is true, i can't wait... that has made all the problems and struggles of the last 6 years melt into nothing.  to see Chasie smile and say "Sissie, I love you." or "I can't give you a good-bye kiss because you can't leave." or the way he runs to hug me so hard it knocks the breath from me.  it has all be worthwile because of him.  nothing can describe how much of my world is done with him in mind.  i love him soooososo much.

there's a piano workshop at WCC in two weeks, i may take it.  i want to learn to play the piano.  but its $80.00 for 3 hours and no credit hours.  we'll see.

bristol race weekend... one ticket left to give away.  its saturday busch race (all my seats are luxury booth #256 which is on the front stretch at the end of pit road... high dollar livin!!).  so if you wanna go, better speak up now!
